Richard Sandler
Richard Sandler is a documentary video and filmmaker, a street photographer, and a photography curator.
His photographs have been exhibited in many one person and group shows and are included in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the New York Public Library, and the Houston Museum of Fine Art. In 1998 he curated the show Living for the City: Twenty Years of New York Street Photography, at the Parsons School of Design. Sandler was awarded two New York Foundation for the Arts fellowships in photography in 1992 and 1998, and a Guggenheim Foundation fellowship for filmmaking in 2006.
