Nicole Gates Anderson

Nicole Gates Anderson was born and raised in Brooklyn on a Cosby Show-esque street lined with brownstone houses. It is one of those blocks where all the neighbors know each other from hanging out on their stoops or playing on the sidewalks. She is now a freelance writer and student at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. For the last few years, she's been a contributor to Aishti Magazine and Gotham Gazette.
