Karen (@duffinkaren) is currently one of the hosts of NPR's Planet Money. For her 2019 Breakout Session, Karen will both break down and complicate how-to's of interviewing for not just information, but also narratives.

She was a producer at This American Life prior to joining Planet Money , and started her radio life as a freelance producer, reporting stories for Radiolab, More Perfect, The Moth, Reply All, and others. Karen has also been a Moth story coach, and now taught/teaches radio at the NYU and CUNY Graduate Schools of Journalism.
