Davy Sumner

Davy Sumner (Day-vee Sum-ner) (He/Him) is an audio engineer, sound designer, performer, and installation artist based in Los Angeles.

In the Podcast realm, his recent projects include Mailchimp’s “Going Through It” Seasons 2 & 3, Back Issue Seasons 2 & 3, Aventine’s “Humans Vs. Machines,” & The Moth’s “Grown.” Davy is a founding member and Facilitator of the annual Performer-Composer Residency at the Westben Centre for Connection and Creativity in Ontario, Canada. He has scored, designed, and programmed immersive theatrical works in Los Angeles, New York, New Orleans, and Seoul, South Korea. As a frequent Faculty member in the CalArts Experimental Sound Practices program, Davy teaches MFA and BFA workshops in Field Recording, Improvisation, Electroacoustic Music, Audio Production, and Music Composition.
