Ben Zimmerman
Ben Zimmerman is a composer and video artist who grew up in Brooklyn. In 2002, he was the sound designer on "Trigger", a video installation by media theorist Jordan Crandall. In 2003, he had a video screened at Anthology Film Archives. In 2010, he received his BFA in Music Composition at CalArts, after working for 13 years in the medical industry. Ben will be entering Brooklyn College's PIMA (Performing Interactive Media Arts) program to begin work on his MFA this Fall.

Ben Zimmerman ran The Books' samples through a sequenced Peavey Pro-Fex, created the track in Ableton, mastered it, ran it through several custom dynamic pitch and time-scaling effects (a different program for each submission) and mastered it again.
