Running After Antelope

by Ben Rubin (The Next Big Thing, 2004)

Runner
by Jon Miller (Marketplace, 2009)
One of the most remarkable marathon finishes in recent history was recorded in 2009 in Boston. There, Kenyan runner, Salina Kosgei had her sights set on the finish line, having traveled half way around the world to get there. She grew up in the highlands of Kenya in a hut with no electricity and no plumbing. As a kid, she used to run 10 kilometers to school, barefoot, just for the fun of it. Her passion is now her profession and it's been a long, hard slog.
