Unintended Detours, episode #1: Shelf Life
by Sue Mell (Unintended Detours, 2007)
A sound-rich and beautifully constructed podcast about the distances we travel in life: literal or metaphorical, enthusiastically or against our will. Stories of obstacles and diversions-- the places we long to get to and where we actually end up.
Theory of Everything: Dear IRS
by Benjamen Walker (Theory of Everything, 2005)
Theory of Everything attempts to unify it all: news, conspiracy theory, fiction, story-telling, drama, and intimate telephone conversations. Host Benjamen Walker explores our world that, now more than ever, seems both real and unreal.
The Obscure News: Anatomy of a Punch, parts 1 & 2
by Lloyd Broadnax King (The Obscure News, 2007)
The Obscure News features "all the news the networks omitted." Dedicated to redeeming the ordinary, TON is a chorus of anonymous voices telling those weird little anecdotes that are born every day.
Tin Man, episode #3
by Matt Sahr (a.k.a Pferdzwackur) (Tin Man, 2006)
Part Wizard of Oz, part Dante's Inferno, part absurdist radio theater, and part anti-corporate musical, this twenty-episode podcast follows the Tin Man (but not necessarily the one you're thinking of) on a bizarre and venturesome journey through landscapes familiar and unknown.
Catalogue of Ships: Florida Recount Poker
by Michael Kraskin and David Terry (Catalogue of Ships, 2007)
Taking its name from the infamous passage in the Iliad where Homer uses over 300 lines to list all the ships in the Greek fleet which sailed to Troy, Catalogue of Ships is about the human attempt to find meaning in the tedious, list-like, largely plotless world of the everyday.

Matt Sahr lives in Vietnam, where he is a middle man. He spent 15 years dabbling in theatre. The only time he actually made any money, he was a stage manager with Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus. But then, just before the dawn of the new millenium, he got fired. In 2000, Matt worked for an Internet bubble company, Teligent, as it spiraled into a smouldering 2.1 million dollar train wreck. Then he got another damn degree, and taught a few college classes. Then he became a maintenance man. He spent 2004 and 2005 fixing garage doors, mopping the floor, etc, at a Storage USA in Baltimore. Then he moved to Korea. Then he moved to Vietnam.
