Chook In Memorium

Search for 'slowed down to 33', and you’ll find hundreds of examples of old 7-inch singles playing at 33rpm, rather than 45rpm. As he turns 40 — and perhaps a bit preoccupied with the idea of “slowing down time” — radio producer Steve Urquhart discovers some unexpected gems.

The Mysterious James Tiptree
