Welcome to San Quentin State Prison in Northern California. Not the San Quentin from TV and movies, but the actual prison where inmates Earlonne Woods and Antwan Williams are serving out their sentences. That's where they met Bay Area artist Nigel Poor and decided to create a new podcast together called Ear Hustle about their lives and the place they currently call home.
Ear Hustle grew out of Radiotopia’s Podquest, an open call for new podcast ideas. In November 2016, their proposal was selected as the winner from a very crowded pack of 1,537 entries... it's the newest member of the Radiotopia podcast network.
Read about the tons of extra challenges the Ear Hustle team face working behind prison walls in our Behind the Scenes interview with Nigel, Earlonne and Antwan.
