Clio Barnard, Susan Philipsz and Mike Kelley reflect on how this theme relates to their work. Their voices are joined by those of scientist Steven Rose, historian Michael Sherringham, poet Lavinia Greenlaw, violinist Paul Robertson, author Rachel Lichtenstein and Artangel Co-Director James Lingwood. The music included is from The Arbor soundtrack by Molly Nyman and Harry Escott and Susan Philipsz's project SURROUND ME, plus compositions by Felix Carey, Andrew Pekler and Ruaridh Law.

Francesca Panetta is an audio producer and sound designer. Originally training at the BBC, she is currently multimedia special projects at the Guardian in the UK but also runs her owns non-profit company Hackney Productions which makes podcasts and location audio apps. The podcasts and apps have won awards in both the UK and US.
Seb Emina joined Artangel as web editor in October 2008. He's responsible variously for developing, unearthing and commissioning content for the Artangel website and for building the online multimedia archive, taking in all projects since 1992.
