This year's winners receive cash awards of $1000 - $4000 and a license for Hindenburg Journalist Pro editing software. They'll also take home beautifully crafted, sound-emitting awards that resemble vintage radios, designed and built by Michael Chupich of Trek Studios with design consultation by Richard H. Driehaus.

Winners will also be heard by a national audience this fall in Best of the Best: The 2013 Third Coast Festival Broadcast, distributed by the Public Radio Exchange (PRX).
