Re:sound's Gwen Macsai hosts this year's national broadcast, showcasing the best radio stories of the year - winners of the 2011 TC/RHDF Competition.

Best of the Best also features interviews with the winning producers, and highlights from our 2011 Third Coast Awards Ceremony, Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me's Peter Sagal.

Listen to hour two to hear: Heel, Toe, Step Together (Best Documentary: Honorable Mention), Deportations Before Reform: Anatomy of an Immigration Bust (Best News Feature), Patriot Games (Best Documentary: Bronze Award), and The Wisdom of Jay Thunderbolt (Best Documentary: Gold Award).

Producer

Katie Mingle joined the Third Coast Festival staff in June, 2010. She produces Re:sound, hosts the Third Coast Podcast, and develops features for the website. Previous to joining the Third Coast staff, Katie taught audio-editing and documentary skills to high school students and produced her own work, much of which has aired on Re:sound.
