Stephen Goff's life changed dramatically after a stroke left him with aphasia. Previously an outspoken father and salesman, the condition reduced his vocabulary to just a few words.
This is an intimate portrait of Stephen and his daughter Teresa's relationship, and their efforts to bring awareness about aphasia to the general public.
In So Many Words won the Radio Impact Award in the 2004 Third Coast / Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition. The story aired on CBC's The Sunday Edition in 2002.
Teresa Goff is a freelance writer and radio producer based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her documentary In So Many Words won the 2003 Canadian Association of Speech Language and Audiologist’s Media Award.
