Madeleine Baran

Madeleine Baran (@madeleinebaran) is the host and lead reporter for In the Dark, an investigative podcast from APM Reports.

Baran is a Peabody-Award winning investigative reporter. Her work focuses on holding powerful people and institutions accountable. In 2013 and 2014, Baran exposed a decades-long cover-up of clergy sexual abuse in the Twin Cities archdiocese. Here work has received awards including the George Foster Peabody Award, a Radio Impact Award from Third Coast, and a national Edward R. Murrow Award. She received her master’s degree in Journalism and French Studies from New York University.
