Jungala Radio is an audio training program in the refugee camp in Calais, France, known as "The Jungle." There, residents collect stories about everyday life as well as testimonies of their travels. Here, resident producer Jamil retells one of those stories.

Jamil (not his real name) ran a successful electronics business in Afghanistan before he was forced to leave in 2015. After crossing the Aegean Sea from Turkey to Greece, Jamil worked with Jungala Radio at the Calais Refugee Camp in France where he shared his own stories and those of ohers. He is now going through the asylum process near Marseille.
