Behind the Scenes with Jonathan Goldstein, host and producer of WireTap



Jonathan Goldstein is host and producer of CBC Radio’s WireTap. He is a contributing editor to This American Life and a member of the PRX editorial board. His writing has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, GQ, Nerve and The National Post where he has a weekly column. Goldstein's latest book, a retelling of stories from the Old Testament, will be published by Riverhead this spring. He lives in Montreal.

Instead of the usual text-based interview, we couldn't resist talking to Jonathan via (duh!) the telephone. The TCF's Julie Shapiro spoke with him and asked about WireTap, how he gets ideas for show, why eavesdropping on phone conversations is so damn alluring, and various other rambling and unrelated topics.
